Check each week whether AI answers cite your brand
You cannot tell whether AI answers and top search results cite you for the questions traders ask. This agent runs the same questions through web search every Friday. You see who gets cited and what changed since last week.
01Yield
What one run makes.
Each Friday you get a dated report that compares this week's citations with last week's. It lists citations gained, marks citations lost as URGENT and shows which other brands appear for each question. It names one or two articles to write next, and you approve each one before it is published.
02Ingredients
What you bring.
- Your brand name and website domain
- 5 to 8 fixed questions your traders ask
- Last week's report
- Any page you published to answer one of the questions
03Equipment
What the run uses.
- An AI agent with live web search
- A weekly scheduler
- A folder for dated reports and a run log
- A rank tracker, if one is already connected
04Method
Six steps you can follow yourself.
- 1Choose your questions
Write down 5 to 8 questions your traders ask search engines and AI assistants. Keep the list the same every week so the weeks can be compared.
- A trader might ask how prop firm challenges work or how a demo account differs from a live one.
- Change the list only on purpose, and write the change down.
- 2Confirm the setup before each run
Before each run, the agent confirms it can write to its folder and reads last week's report.
- If the folder is blocked or web search is unavailable, the agent stops and reports the block. It never guesses and never claims the run worked.
- After a missed Friday, the agent runs at the next chance. It states the real period the report compares.
- 3Search every question each Friday
Every Friday, the agent searches each of your questions and records who is cited. Give it this instruction.
- "Run a fresh web search for each question and describe only what this run saw. Record whether my brand appears in the AI-written answer or a prominent citation. Record whether it is in the top organic results, and its position when the page shows it. Record which competitor brands and domains appear in the answer and the top results."
- 4Check your pages and rank tracker
If you published a page to answer one of the questions, the agent checks it is live. It reads your rank tracker only if one is already connected.
- The page check uses up to two brand searches. The agent calls the page new only with evidence it launched this period.
- From the rank tracker, it notes which competitor domains are rising for these questions. Without a tracker, it says it skipped this step and why.
- 5Compare and save the report
The agent compares the run with last week's report and saves a new dated report. It writes only that report and one line in its run log, and changes nothing else.
- The report gives the citation count against last week and lists the citations gained. It marks lost citations URGENT.
- A table shows each question, whether you were cited, your position and who else is cited. A plain section tells you where to look.
- Results vary by location, personalisation and the search engine or AI tool used. The report notes any such doubt beside a lost citation. The agent never invents a citation, a position or a change.
- 6Read the report and pick articles
The report names one or two articles to write next week, chosen for the biggest gaps the agent saw. Read it and decide which ones to write.
- Each article you pick goes through your normal draft and approval before it is published. The agent itself publishes nothing.
