Find firms like your best three sponsors or partners

You know your best sponsors and partners, but have no list of the next firms to contact. This recipe finds firms like your best 3 each week and keeps those with dated, linked news. You see why each one may be ready now, with draft messages for the best fits.

01Yield

What one run makes.

A weekly sheet of firms like your best partners

Each run fills your shared sheet with firms like your best 3. Each row has dated, linked news, a 1 to 5 fit score and the role to contact. You approve every draft message and send it yourself.

02Ingredients

What you bring.

  • Your 3 best sponsors, partner programs or partner firms
  • Answers to 5 questions about your offer and voice
  • The region and type of firm you want to reach
  • Signs that a firm may be ready now, such as a new license
  • One true line on how you helped a similar firm

03Equipment

What the run uses.

  • Your AI chat with web search
  • A chat project that holds your brief and house rules
  • A shared sheet with fixed columns
  • A work-email finder that verifies addresses (optional)

04Method

Seven steps you can follow yourself.

  1. 1
    Write the brief

Answer 5 questions about your offer and voice. Then ask your AI chat to turn your answers into a brief and house rules.

    • Say what you sell in one sentence, and who buys and what they hire you for. Then say why they pick you over others and how you sound in 3 words. Last, name what you never say or do in marketing.
    • Ask for a brief under 150 words and a profile of your ideal firm in 5 lines. The profile ends with 3 signs that a firm is ready now.
  2. 2
Paste the rules and approve the plan

Paste the house rules into the project instructions. Your AI chat then writes a research plan under 100 words. Approve the plan before it searches.

    • The rules tell it to write a short plan and wait for your go. It keeps only what it can link to a source and prefers the original announcement.
    • It never guesses a number or a date, and it drops anything without a date. You do all the sending, and it never claims anything was sent.
  3. 3
Find 20 firms like your best 3

Name your 3 best sponsors, partner programs or partner firms, and ask for 20 firms like them.

    • Ask for the same type of firm, a similar size and your target region. Each firm needs a link to its own website and a line on why it fits.
    • Tell your AI chat never to invent a firm and to leave out any it is unsure of.
  4. 4
Keep the firms with dated news

Ask which firms did something in the last 30 days that suggests they may sponsor or partner now.

    • Signs include a new license, a new market, funding, expansion, regulatory action or a senior marketing or partnerships hire.
    • Ask for what happened, the date and the source link, and drop rows with nothing.
    • Rank the rest by how soon they may act, and never accept a guessed date.
  5. 5
Score the firms and draft messages

Have your AI chat score each firm that is left from 1 to 5 for fit. Then ask for a first message to each of the 5 best fits.

    • For each firm, ask for the job title to contact, such as head of partnerships, never a person's name.
    • Each message is under 80 words and ends with one question. It includes one line on how you helped a similar firm, using facts you can prove. It uses your voice, with no stock openers, hype words or exclamation marks.
    • Have it rewrite the top 3 to lead with their news and plan 3 follow-ups over 14 days.
  6. 6
Check, approve and fill the sheet

Spot-check 5 rows by hand, and approve or edit every message before you send it. Then paste the final table into your shared sheet.

    • In each checked row, the firm must exist, the link must work and the date must be right.
    • The sheet has columns for firm, website, why they fit, what happened, date, source, role and score. Every row starts with a status of new.
  7. 7
    Save the Monday run

After this first run by hand, save a standing instruction called "Monday leads run" in the project. It repeats the search, news check, scoring and drafting when you trigger it.

    • Each week, review the new rows and give each an owner.
    • If results are thin, narrow the region or firm type, run once more and move on.
    • If you look up work emails, have your AI chat show the price per lookup and the total first. Approve before any lookup runs, and never use an address that did not verify.
